It loves you. You hate it. This is your heart parasite.

HERZPARASIT is the new project of the singer Ric-Q Winther and the guitarist El Toro. Ric-Q also used to be the front man, songwriter and lead singer of the German Rock Band “redline” from Munich. El Toro was the creative mind of Montzafarm.
The conceptual idea for HERZPARASIT kept crossing Ric-Qs mind. It started with the acting project DEIN GIFT (your poison) one day on stage, when he realized, that there was more inside him. These lyric fragments were, however, too confusing, too rough, too abstract and too experimentally for his Band at that time. Due to the dissolve of Montzafarm, El Toro was also looking for someone able to paraphrase his music. This is how, in spring time of 2008, the two of them met for the first time and caught fire at once.

So Ric-Q and El Toro founded a formation of 2 men. A mixture of dark, powerful and electronic tones. The Duo itself describes its style spontaneously as “German Industrial Metal from the Heart”. HERZPARASIT describes the fear of people when it’s about to dissociate or separate from situations/ thoughts/ others. Now the question is: Aren’t we all HERZPARASIT?

HERZPARASIT is about feeling alienated, speechless, evanescent, about the fear of letting go, about sticking to well known structures; in other words it is about the fear and deterioration hunting the human being and being symbolized by a heart parasite injecting its bitter poison in any somatic cell and ushering the doom of your heart.

Amongst 1000 Bands, HP was chosen to perform in January 2009 on one of the biggest Band contest of Bavaria – the MAXI DSL CONTEST in Ingolstadt. The Bavarian boys came 6th place our of 20 bands.

Ali Khan, Bavarian cult figure of the late night talk shows, revealed himself being a fan of HERZPARASIT and did not only invite Ric-Q and El Toro for a live show into the studios of Radio Charivari 95.5, but also to his show on TV.

Together with the Industrial Metal guys of Megaherz, HERZPARASIT did a successful gig in Passau. But that was only the first part of the Tour of 2009. Feeling impressed by the music of Ric-Q and El Toro, Megaherz made plans to take HP as supporting act with them during the second part of the Tour.

Furthermore, Joachim Witt (singing e.g. “Der Goldene Reiter”, “Die Flut”) felt convinced by the guys and wanted to take them possibly with him on his tour.

In 2009, HP shot two video clips together with Peter Burger in the studios of the music academy Deutsche Pop. Since then, the two video clips for MILCH + STÜCK FÜR STÜCK were being discussed passionately. But convince yourself: www.youtube.com/user/herzparasit

In 2010 HERZPARASIT pllayed a big festival together with Megaherz, Alphaville, JBO und Oomph!. Also in Marco Polo touristguide of Munich HERZPARASIT was called a special tip.
HERZPARASIT campaingn social. They are supporting the project "Sandmänner" which is acting against poverty of children (http://www.sandmaenner.com/).
Even on the big Anti-Atom-Demo 2010 in Munich HERZPARASIT played in front of a thousand people.
